Privacy Policy for LaborLabs Activity Connector

The LaborLabs Activity Connector Chrome Extension (“the Extension”) is developed by LaborLabs.ai to securely log employee work browsing activity to the LaborLabs CRM system. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how it is used, and the rights available to users.

1. Information We Collect

When the extension is active and the user has opted in, we collect limited browsing metadata including:

Page URL
Page title
Timestamp of visit
Tab identifier
LaborLabs user ID

No page content, form data, passwords, cookies, or personal browsing history unrelated to work activity is collected.

2. How We Use Information

The collected data is used solely to associate work-related browsing activity with corresponding CRM records for productivity reporting and employee activity tracking. Data is transmitted securely to the LaborLabs CRM platform (https://crm.laborlabs.ai).

3. Data Retention

Activity metadata is retained for up to 90 days (or as configured by your organization’s administrator) and then permanently deleted from our systems. Users or administrators may request earlier deletion.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or share browsing data with third parties. Data is only shared with authorized LaborLabs systems for internal processing. We do not transfer user data for advertising, credit evaluation, or unrelated purposes.

5. Security

All data is transmitted using TLS encryption and stored encrypted at rest. Access to CRM activity data is restricted to authorized personnel under strict access controls.

6. User Control and Opt-In

Activity logging occurs only when the user is signed in and has opted in.
Users can pause or disable activity logging at any time from the extension popup menu.
Users may request deletion of their activity data via CRM settings or by contacting support.

7. Permissions Used

tabs / webNavigation: Detect active tab URLs and navigation events for accurate activity logging.
storage: Save user preferences and queued activity locally before secure upload.
alarms: Trigger periodic syncs and cleanup of cached data.
idle: Detect user inactivity to prevent false activity logs.
host permissions: Access page metadata for work-related websites only; no content or credentials collected.

8. Compliance and Certification

LaborLabs certifies that we:

Do not sell or transfer user data to third parties, outside of approved use cases.
Do not use or transfer user data for unrelated purposes.
Do not use or transfer user data for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
